Which key does your car use?

Most cars on the road today use one of four key types. A plain transponder blade looks like an ordinary key but carries a chip the immobiliser must recognise. A remote key adds lock and unlock buttons, either in a separate fob or built into the head. A flip key folds the blade into the remote. A smart or proximity key stays in your pocket and lets you unlock and start with a button.

Each type needs different work – cutting, programming or both – so the price depends on your vehicle. Send your reg and postcode, tell us whether a working key still exists, and we'll confirm the job and price before we set off. We come to your home, work or wherever the vehicle is parked, 7 days a week with late callouts until midnight.
